This week, you should make a reservation for three at The Mildred and enjoy a feel-good dinner to share in heart of South Philadelphia.
Chefs and friends, Michael Santoro and Michael Dorris (known hereinafter as The Michaels) opened The Mildred in Bella Vista about a month ago offering seasonally inspired, Americanized, European comfort foods.
And though both of The Michaels have executive chef experience, it’s Michael Santoro who helms the kitchen, creating dishes inspired by the FoH/BoH teams’ time spent cheffing in London.
Now that The Michaels are settled in, they’ve added a couple ‘dishes to share’ to their dinner menu; like the Four Story Hill Farm pheasant.
The pasture-raised foul is prepared and roasted vertically on cast-iron cookware. Its unique presentation begins with a two-day brine and ends served to a party of three with duck fat potatoes, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower and quince for just $56.
Roasted pheasant might just be the perfect dish for a chilly October evening, so make this the reason you head out and give The Mildred and The Michaels a try.
