Sometimes life calls for a cocktail — especially on a Friday. While you can’t go wrong with a simple vodka and soda, there are times when you want to really shake things up. We turn to area restaurants and bars for inspiration. Topaz Bar is offering two Political Campaign Cocktails — the non-alcoholic Romney Float and the Obama’s Home Sweet Home — and now you can mix up the Home Sweet Home in your home.

Obama’s Home Sweet Home

Ingredients

• 1.5 oz Bulleit Bourbon
• .75 oz lime juice
• .75 oz pineapple juice
• Soda water
• Lime wedge

Directions

1. In a highball glass, combine Bulleit Bourbon, lime juice, pineapple juice.
2. Add ice and stir.
3. Fill with soda.
4. Garnish with lime wedge.
