This week in food Manayunk hosts its very own StrEAT Food Festival this Saturday, September 29. It’s free to attend and cheap to eat from 10 am – 5 pm when some of Philly’s best food trucks line up along Main Street.
Vendors offering affordable eats priced between $3 and $5 include:
Vegetarian and vegan offerings from Cosmic Catering, Latin inspired food from Delicia’s, Asian handhelds from the Foo Truck, Joe Spuds Burgers and Fries, Kung Fu Hoagies, and locavore eats from Local 215. Burgers, dogs, grilled cheese and tamales will be available from SPOT Burger, The Dapper Dog, Say Cheese Philadelphia and The Tamale Cart, respectively. And Zea May will be on-hand dishing out Native American favorites.
New Hope Premium Fountain will have all natural sodas to wash it all down and Rival Brothers Coffee Roasters will be there to keep you going for seconds.
Those with a sweet tooth can track down Sweet Box Cupcakes. Mompops will be serving up gluten, dairy, and soy- free popsicles. And don’t miss out on Philly’s favorite frosty treats from Little Baby’s Ice Cream.
Gourmet food vendors and local farmers will be set up and selling everything from homemade biscotti to high quality, grass-fed beef. And arts and crafters with a knack for kitchenware will also be in attendance.
There will be live music, tours of the area’s brick and mortar restaurants and shopping at Manayunk’s many boutiques.
