Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis will take the stage November 6 at this year’s Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show. Before the two-day event filled with demos, tastings and other activities, we turned the tables on De Laurentiis.


What’s in your fridge or freezer that would surprise people?
Nail polish.

Last meal you cooked for yourself?
Short rib chili with chocolate.

Last meal on earth?
Chocolate cake with nutella frosting.

Which six people — alive or dead — would you choose to attend your ultimate dinner party? What would you serve? 
Marilyn Monroe, Angelina Jolie, Bill Clinton, Jesus, Michael Jackson, my brother. I’d serve Spaghetti Scui Scui.

What non-food-related things do you do for fun?
Paddle board, yoga, movies.

If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go?
Hong Kong or Tokyo.

What’s on your DVR?
Lots of extreme sports shows for my husband, 30 Rock, Boardwalk Empire, Kardashians.
